The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render services towards the community.

SASSA might be rendering providers like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client treatment enquiries, as well as the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency explained it's alarmed about the significant quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“That is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office committed to service the area on a daily basis. The provider point developed more info for intervention ordeals a higher influx of probable beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise more resources to enable the servicing of all clients and improve entry to Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
